Dan Vasella has been running Novartis since it was created in the 1996 merger of Ciba-Geigy and Sandoz. But it’s fair to say that in the past 13 years, he’s never had the environment headwind he has today.At Cleveland Clinic’s Medical Innovation Summit, we got the chance to sit down with Dr. Vasella for a Q&A discussing some of these headwinds (R&D productivity, health reform) – and just how Novartis plans to sail through them.
